We investigate the behavior of the relatively strong absorption line He I λ 587.6 nm in the spectrum of the rapid irregular variable star WW Vul (Sp A3) with the Algol-like brightness fadings. As many as 76 spectra of this star were acquired with the 2.6-m ZTSh telescope of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory with the use of the medium-dispersion spectrograph SPEM. We show that the equivalent width of the He I line exhibits not only daily variations but also rapid oscillations with a typical period of several tens of minutes. Quasi-simultaneous observations of several standard stars with known energy distributions allowed us to calculate the monochromatic magnitudes of the variable at λ = 550 nm. There was no correlation between the equivalent widths of the line He I λ 587.6 nm and the monochromatic brightness of the star. At times we could identify the short-wave emission component of the He I line. We used the Hβ profiles to confirm the spectral type A2–A3 of WW Vul. 相似文献

A device for recording positions of a beam of an extralight torsion balance is developed, mounted, and tested by the practice
of astronomical observations. The device makes it possible to completely automate the process of observations under constant
monitoring of the measurement results in real time. The principle of color division of stationary marks which specify the
meridian direction from a mobile marker is implemented owing to application of different luminescent paints and a source of
UV radiation. In contrast to other recording systems of such type, the device described makes it possible to minimize convective
air flows inside the chamber of a torsion balance and to drastically improve the accuracy of determining the beam direction
at which the error of individual determination is ±0.172°. Long-term observations performed with the given device made it
possible to reveal a distinct daily cycle in the behavior of a torsion balance, the nature of this cycle still being unclear. 相似文献

Multicolor observations of 21 rapid, irregular variable stars with Algol-like fadings and of R Coronae Borealis are used to derive the optical extinction coefficients of the circumstellar dust associated with these objects, θ(λ). We used more than 3600 uniform multi-color brightness measurements obtained in a rigorous U BV R system at the Terskol High-altitude Observing Station. The mean extinction coefficient θ for the circumstellar dust for this sample of stars coincides almost exactly with the interstellar extinction coefficient, θis, but is somewhat higher in the ultraviolet. We suggest an explanation for this difference. 相似文献

Manufactured and tested in his work is a photoelectric device that makes it possible to automatically determine the relative angular position of the beam of a miniature torsion balance, angular readings being discretized with various time step values and stored in a computer. Measurements were taken with this device that captured the occurrence of the partial solar eclipse on September 11, 2007, and confirmed the fact, established previously through visual observation, that the position of torsion balance beams changed at the instant an eclipse took place. 相似文献

We observed the behavior of the pointer of an asymmetric torsion balance (TB) at solar eclipse dates and on other off-eclipse days. A peculiar reaction of the miniature TB different from its reaction at off-eclipse time was recorded for some solar eclipses. The relative positions of the Earth, Moon, and Sun are among the possible factors affecting the position of the TB pointer. A time shift between the maximum phase of a solar eclipse and the maximum TB reaction was detected. We conclude that base observations of such phenomena from different points of the terrestrial globe are necessary. 相似文献

The well-known climate shift that occurred around 1976/1977 in the marine ecosystem of North Pacific Ocean was preceded by changes in the early 1970s over Northeastern Asia. In this paper long-term variability of Siberian High and Aleutian Low parameters, seasonal discharge of Siberian rivers and air temperature and precipitation regime in their watersheds are examined in data sets covering 1945–1995. It was found that the change in seasonal values of Siberian river discharges is a consequence of an atmospheric climatic shift that occurred in the early 1970s over North Asia. This shift was induced by a change in atmospheric circulation pattern in the Eurasian sector and Pacific sector of the Northern Hemisphere after 1970. It resulted in changes in position and intensity of the Siberian High and Aleutian Low before and after the 1970s, which induced a different pattern of precipitation in West and East Siberia. There was an increase in winter precipitation over West Siberia but a decrease over East Siberia. The period after 1970s is characterized by higher amplitude of all parameters and increases in the year-to-year variability. 相似文献

We have determined the physical (T eff, logg, ζ) and kinematic (V e sini,V r ) parameters and abundances for 14 chemical elements in the atmosphere of the “antiflare” variable RZ Psc, using medium-resolution spectra obtained with the Coudé spectrographs of the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory and the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory 2.6-m Shain telescope. The chemical composition of the star is characterized by a slight metal deficiency; however, the iron and calcium abundances are consistent with the solar values within the errors. We also detected a peculiar dip (depression) of the continuum level near the Hα line. Assuming that this depression and the photospheric Hα line have independent origins, we calculated the hydrogen abundance X in the atmosphere of RZ Psc. The resulting value X=0.70 (of the solar value) implies a relative deficiency of hydrogen. Together with the spatial location of the star, these properties provide evidence that RZ Psc is an evolved star, most likely belonging to population II. 相似文献
