Deformed orthopyroxene grains are studied in detail in mantle peridotite. It is shown that deformation of enstatite is accompanied by its decomposition with the formation of low-temperature phases (pargasite, Fe-rich olivine) and restite represented by depleted enstatite, forsterite, and small newly formed chrome spinellide grains. The role of plastic deformation in initiation of partial melting of peridotite and in the formation new chrome spinellide grains is discussed.  相似文献

Forms of occurrence of platinum (sperrilite, moncheite) and palladium (Sb-michenerite, Pd–Bi phase) minerals in intrusive rocks of the Khudolaz differentiated complex have been studied. Platinum minerals were identified in disseminated Cu–Ni sulfide ores from ultramafic olivine–hornblende rocks of the Khudolaz complex, whereas palladium minerals were found in ores from olivine–hornblende gabbroids. The structural arrangement of grains as inclusions in sulfides of the primary magmatic association testifies that they were formed as a result of segregation of platinum group elements, which partitioned into the composition of sulfides during low-temperature mineral formation process at the late-magmatic stage.  相似文献

This study presents new geochemical and isotope data on igneous rocks of the Vetlovaya marginal sea paleobasin (part of the Late Mesozoic–Cenozoic margin of the northwestern Pacific). The results show that the rock complexes of this marginal sea basin comprise igneous rocks with geochemical compositions similar to those of normal oceanic tholeiites, enriched transitional tholeiites, and ocean island and back-arc basin basalts. Island-arc tholeiitic basalts are present only rarely. The specific geochemical signatures of these rocks are interpreted as being related to mantle heterogeneity and the geodynamic conditions in the basin.  相似文献
