The stabilization of slopes by the technique of reinforced earth (Terre Armée) is a very economical and reliable technique. We propose in this paper to check the overall internal stability of the reinforced earth retaining walls by three mechanical models, using the analytical method of the limit equilibrium (failure). The main objective of this paper is to compare these failure mechanical models with the failure models obtained by numerical analysis (code FLAC 2D), in order to validate the most realistic and more unfavourable failure models. Parametric and comparative studies carried out have allowed us to bring a very useful knowledge concerning the study of the internal stability of the reinforced earth retaining walls. It also proposed a theoretical mechanical model of calculation proved by numerical simulation.  相似文献

Channel sand acts as a stratigraphic trap for hydrocarbon accumulation in many parts of the world. Delineation of this type of reservoir is crucial as channel sand may be scarce, and inaccurate location of the drilling wells could lose a huge currency. The Hassi Messaoud (HMD) field was subjected to multiphase tectonic events, where deep-seated structures were rejuvenated leading to intensive fault complexity. The main effective tectonic events upon the studied area are the Hercynian compression and deep erosion till the Ordovician Hamra Quartzite (HQZ) oil reservoir, followed by active Triassic rifting and filling the deeply eroded areas or the graben areas by eruptive volcanic rocks at Triassic time. Hercynian erosion and volcanic rocks distribution introduce a big uncertainty to the reservoir structural model. Amplitude versus offset (AVO) method is used as a helpful tool to differentiate channel sand from surrounding formations. Several attributes (P-impedance, S-impedance, longitudinal velocity Vp, shear velocity Vs and density ρ) are estimated from pre-stack seismic inversion. They have different sensitivity to the reservoir properties. Derived attributes such as Lamé parameters, incompressibility × density (λρ) and rigidity × density (μρ) can provide key lithology and fluid indicators (Goodway et al. 1997, Goodway CSEG Rec 26(6):39-60 2001). Petrophysically relating AVO attributes both to λρ and μρ and to each other in Lambda–Mu–Rho (LMR) cross-plot space can be a good tool for AVO interpretation (Rutherford and Williams Geophysics 54:680–688 1989 and Castagna and Swan Lead Edge 16(4):337–342 1997). After proper data conditioning, simultaneous inversion of pre-stack angle gathers is performed to get acoustic wave impedance (P-impedance), elastic wave impedances (S-impedance) and density ρ, then to calculate λρ and μρ volumes. In the studied area, λρ and μρ are used as a very important key to separate reservoir sands. The λρ and μρ curves are generated at each well location. Cross plots showed a fair separation of sand in the formation, i.e. higher μρ and lower λρ can detect sand. The output λρ and μρ volumes after simultaneous inversion follow the distribution of the sand which is consistent with the wells penetrating the target reservoir. This finding on the extension of the sand reservoir in terms of λρ and μρ. 3D cross-plot zonations are used for lithology discrimination. In this study, well logs were used to constrain lithology and to control the zonation filters by reducing the limits ambiguity. Other types of advanced attributes are calculated and tested. The obtained (μρλρ) volume acts as a good indicator for the sand distribution. It was finally used as sand presence index in the area. Also μρ has shown a good linear relationship with porosity. To note that the porosity volume is created based on the linear relationship with μρ. A product of derived porosity and the sand presence index (μρλρ) provides a good tool for reservoir characterization and lead to reservoir management, future planning of the field, and setting location for new wells.  相似文献

In underground repository concepts for radioactive waste, bentonite is studied as a reference swelling material to be used as an engineered barrier. Under the changing geochemical conditions prevailing within the barrier (saturation with the fluid coming from the host formation, diffusion of various chemical plumes caused by the degradation of some constituents of the barrier-system, etc.), the surface chemistry of the clay particles could evolve. This work aims to characterize the effects of these changes on (i) the microstructure of compacted bentonite samples and (ii) the diffusion properties of HTO and Na in these samples. For this purpose, bentonite sets were equilibrated with different solutions: NaCl, CaCl2, CsCl solutions as well as an artificial clayey porewater solution. The microstructure of the different samples was characterized by HRTEM and XRD, in a water saturated state. In parallel, effective diffusion coefficients of both HTO and 22Na were measured for the different samples. The density of the bentonite in the diffusion tests and in the HRTEM observations was set at 1.6 Mg m−3.From the microstructural observations and the results of diffusion tests, it is deduced that one key parameter is the occurrence of a gel phase in the material, which is found to depend strongly on the bentonite set: the gel phase dominates in Na-bentonite, while it is lacking in Cs-bentonite. The HTO diffusion coefficients are found to be lower in the samples with high gel phase content. Sodium diffusion does not follow the same trend: when compared with HTO, Na diffuses faster when the gel phase content is high. The latter result could indicate that the “accelerated diffusion mechanism” of cations, already mentioned in the literature, is enhanced in clayey materials that contain a gel phase.  相似文献

The creep property of rock under cyclic loading is very important in civil engineering. In order to establish a novel constitutive equation for rock under cyclic loading, a fractional-order viscoplastic body under cyclic loading was constructed based on fractional-order viscous element. A fractional-order visco-elastoplastic model (FVEPM) for rock was established by connecting constructed fractional-order viscoplastic body with Burgers model. The model was a Burgers model when the maximum value of cyclic loading was less than the critical strength of rock; otherwise, it was a FVEPM which can be used to reflect the transient, steady-state, and tertiary creep phases of rock. The cyclic loading was decomposed into a static load and a cyclic loading with a zero average stress. According to rheological mechanics theory, the rheology constitutive equation of rock under the static load can be derived. According to viscoelastic mechanics theory, the constitutive equation under cyclic loading with a zero average stress was established by introducing the variation parameters of energy storage and energy dissipation compliance caused by rock damage and fracture. Finally, a new dynamic constitutive equation of rock cyclic loading can be obtained by superimposing the constitutive equation under static load and cyclic loading with a zero average stress. Compared with existing test results of rock under cyclic loading, the proposed constitutive model can be used to describe the creep characteristics of rock under cyclic loading and reflect the presented fluctuation of strain curve of rock under cyclic loading.  相似文献
