This paper summarizes the observations of microseismic emissions by these authors in several areas of the Russian part of the Fennoscandian Shield to assess the potential of microseismicity to determine the present-day activity of local features in the upper part of the geologic medium. We give amplitude–frequency characteristics and the space–time distribution of naturally occurring microseismic events that are hypothesized to be of endogenous origin. We discuss the relationships these characteristics have to the regional geodynamic setting, average dimensions, and petrographic composition of active rock blocks.  相似文献

The spatial structure of the planetary waves in the frequency parameters of the sporadic E layer have been studied based on an analysis of the 30-year series of the ionospheric data for the midlatitude region of the Northern Hemisphere, which made it possible to observe the planetary waves with zonal wavenumbers 1, 2, and 3. The characteristic periods of existence have been revealed for these waves, and the seasonal distributions of these periods have been constructed. These waves can be considered among quasistationary formations according to their character; i.e., these waves are stationary or slowly move during long time intervals but can abruptly change the initial phase during 1–2 days. Two clearly defined zones between 30°–60° E and 210°–240° E have been detected as a result of an analysis of the longitudinal belts where an abrupt change in the initial phases of these waves is most frequent.  相似文献

Higher activities of U isotopes were recorded in hydrocarbonate freshwater on watersheds in the regions of occurrence of red Vend sandstones, Fe concentrations being minimal. The lowest activities of U isotopes and the highest Fe concentrations are typical of highly mineralized water under paleovalleys. The highest activities of U isotopes were recorded in the zones of hydrocarbonate freshwater intrusion into brine water on paleovalleys’ slopes. The mineral and fresh waters confined to the water-bearing complex of Vend sandstones can be used for drinking and balneological purposes.  相似文献

Through, long-lived structural-kinematic parageneses were established in the southeastern marginal part of the Baltic Shield on the basis of structural studies. These parageneses were formed and periodically rejuvenated from at least the Paleoproterozoic until the neotectonic stage of the evolution of this territory. A series of consecutive tectonic events related to the vertical and horizontal mobility of rocks of the crystalline basement and sedimentary cover had important implications for the formation of present-day structure of the southeastern margin of the Baltic Shield. These tectonic displacements developed for an extremely long time with retention of the main kinematic tendencies. At the end of the Paleoproterozoic, the volcanic and sedimentary rocks of the Vetreny Belt underwent tectonic stacking as a result of the countermotion of the crystalline masses of the Vodlozero Massif and the Belomorian-Lapland Belt. The clockwise rotation and lateral displacement of the Vodlozero Massif to the northeast provided the left-lateral transpression of the Vetreny Belt. Under these conditions, the Paleoproterozoic sequences experienced squeezing in the southeastern direction. This kinematic tendency was retained at the subsequent evolutional stages and eventually was recorded in the structure of the present-day boundary between the Baltic Shield and the Russian Platform.  相似文献

On February 26, 2009, the first data was obtained in the TESIS experiment on the research of the solar corona using imaging spectroscopy. The TESIS is a part of the scientific equipment of the CORONAS-PHO-TON spacecraft and is designed for imaging the solar corona in soft X-ray and extreme ultraviolet regions of the spectrum with high spatial, spectral, and temporal resolutions at altitudes from the transition region to three solar radii. Summary. The paper presents experimental data on elastic anisotropy of ultrasonic waves in thin-layered periodic models composed of ice and clay, and how such models were constructed. Experiments were carried out in the temperature range from -1° to -12°C. The dependence of the anisotropy coefficient on moisture and temperature is analysed.
