The Symposium on the Management of Geodetic Data was held in Copenhagen in August, 1981. Many geodesists expect the issues of data management to be the next major problem area in geodesy. This Symposium was the first organized attempt to understand these issues and to share experiences. The main conclusions reached by the symposium are reported. These conclusions concern topics such as (1) the role and function of a geodetic data base, (2) the use of commercial data base management system, (3) the validation of observation data, and (4) the use of abstract data types.  相似文献
