Analyzed is the variability of seasonal salinity in the North Pacific. It is demonstrated that the formation and disappearance of salinity minimum in subsurface layers depends on the freshwater budget variability of different time scales. In general, the salinity minimum is a temporary phenomenon formed during the negative phase of freshwater budget, when the evaporation exceeds the precipitation. Seasonal variability of fresh water budget leads to the seasonal formation of salinity minimum on the boundary between the climatic zones. The existence of salinity minimum at intermediate depths in the tropics is caused by the negative phase of long-period variability of freshwater budget. 相似文献

Analyzed is the intraannual variability ofvertical distribution of salinity in the southern part of the Sea of Japan. It is demonstrated that the sign change in freshwater balance is the reason for the formation and disappearance of minima and maxima of salinity in the water column. The dynamics of variability of salinity minima parameters is demonstrated for the first time. The conclusion is made that the salinity minimum cannot be considered as a water mass because it is a temporary phenomenon. 相似文献

The results of the comparative analysis of data of annual observations conducted in the framework of the program for the state monitoring of hydrochemical conditions and pollution of coastal sea waters in the Primorsky krai, Sakhalin, and Kamchatka are presented. Among the numerous pollutants coming to the marine environment, the priority ingredients for these water areas were selected. They characterize the marine environmental conditions in terms of the frequency of high concentrations exceeding the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) and in terms of toxicity: oil hydrocarbons, phenols, synthetic surfactants, and heavy metals. Specific features of interannual dynamics of average annual and maximum concentrations of pollutants for the certain periods are considered as well as the main trends in the composition and quality of water resulting from the anthropogenic impact in 1975–2015. 相似文献

Observational data from the Roshydromet
hydrometeorological stations for 1978–2017, global meteorological
network, and objective analysis and reanalysis (NOAA) are used to study
the interannual variability of sea surface temperature and air
temperature in the coastal and marine areas of the Okhotsk, Japan,
Yellow, East China, and South China seas at the modern stage of the
warming. Based on the EOF, cluster, and correlation analysis, the
spatiotemporal pattern of temperature variations is analyzed and the
zoning of sea areas according to the features of modern climate change
is performed. The possible cause-and-effect relationships between these
changes and the variations in wind components and climate indices are
investigated. The studies revealed, specified, and quantified the modern
trends and regional features of interannual variability of thermal
conditions in the distinguished areas. 相似文献
