Reducing overall power consumption is core issue in low power, high sampling rate, large storage data loggers necessary for long-term underwater acoustics research and other applications. A low-power microprocessor MSP430 offers a solution for the development of long-term deployment remote systems. In this paper, we present a multi-MSP430, master-slave architecture to resolve the power limitation issue. The proposed design is scalable in nature. For every additional slave unit installed in the array, the data sampling and streaming rate can be increased proportionally. We demonstrate the advantages of this concept using a multi-channel underwater acoustic recorder with a 100 kHz sampling rate. The performance of the system is demonstrated by a field acoustic experiment in which the reflection coefficient of the seafloor is measured. The proposed architecture will be applicable to many underwater long-term deployment systems. With its flexibility in configuration and synchronization of multi-channel sampling, it also provides a simple architecture for the construction of hydrophone arrays.  相似文献

This paper is focused on analysis of comprehensive experimental research data on the infragravitational range of periods (from 20 s to 10–12 min) obtained by synchronous measurements of fluctuations in deformations of the Earth’s crust and atmospheric and hydrospheric pressure variations. It is established that the identified variations in the period range of 1–4 min are rarely observed in records of a laser nanobarograph and laser instrument for measuring hydrospheric pressure variations (laser hydrophone), while they are frequently observed in records of laser strainmeters at a variation period of 3–4 min. Oscillation excitation in the period ranges of 7–13 min, especially in the period ranges of 8–12 min, is largely related to atmospheric processes in the corresponding periods.  相似文献

In the present study,a generalized active contour model of gradient vector flow is combined with the video techniques of Argus system to delineate and track sequential nearshore wave crest profdes in the shoaling process,up to their breaking on the shorehne.Previous applications of active contour models to water wave problems are limited to controllable wave tank experiments.By contrast,our application in this study is in a nearshore field environment where oblique images obtained under natural and varying condition of ambient light are employed.Existing Argus techniques produce plane image data or time series data from a selected small subset of discrete pixels.By contrast,the active contour model produces line image data along continuous visible curves such as wave crest profdes.The combination of these two existing techniques,the active contour model and Argus methodologies,facilitates the estimates of the direction wave field and phase speeds within the whole area covered by camera.These estimates are useful for the purpose of inverse calculation of the water depth.Applications of the present techniques to Hsi-tzu bay where a beach restoration program is currently undertaken are illustrated.This extension of Argus video techniques provides new application of optical remote sensing to study the hydrodynamics and morphology of a nearshore environment.  相似文献

Climate change alters global food systems, especially agriculture and fisheries—significant aspects of the livelihoods and food security of populations. The 2014 IPCC Fifth Assessment Report identified Southeast Asia as the most vulnerable coastal region in the world, and highlighted the potential distribution of impacts and risks of climate change in the region. While climate hazards may differ across geographical regions, the impact of climate extremes on food production will affect marginal farmers, fishers and poor urban consumers disproportionately, as they have limited capacities to adapt to and recover from extreme weather events. Governments and other stakeholders need to respond to climate extremes and incorporate adaptation into national development plans. Unfortunately, there is still limited peer-review publication on the subject matter. This paper presents some findings from research on observed and projected loss and damage inflicted by climate extremes on agricultural crops in Southeast Asia.  相似文献

隧道工程开挖深度有逐渐增加的趋势,深部岩石具高强度及高应力环境。虽然脆性岩石在高围压应力下,将转而呈现延性特性,但隧道开挖所产生的径向解压,使隧道周边一定范围内的岩体处在低围压状态,故这部分围岩的变形仍由脆性性质所掌控。对于脆性岩石呈现峰后强度弱化特性,文中汇整各种岩石峰后强度弱化参数评估方法后,提出结合Hoek-Brown准则与岩心试验的强度损失试验评估法。以实际工程案例分析结果显示,600 m埋深时岩石峰后强度弱化与否,对隧道围岩变形量影响不大,但隧道埋深超过2 000 m后,变形量的差异将达到3~4倍左右,显示脆性岩石峰后强度弱化特性,对深埋隧道施工变形影响不可忽视。  相似文献

Multifractal behaviour of interevent time sequences is investigated for the earthquake events in the NW Himalaya, which is one of the most seismically active zones of India and experienced moderate to large damaging earthquakes in the past. In the present study, the multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MF-DFA) is used to understand the multifractal behaviour of the earthquake data. For this purpose, a complete and homogeneous earthquake catalogue of the period 1965–2013 with a magnitude of completeness M w 4.3 is used. The analysis revealed the presence of multifractal behaviour and sharp changes near the occurrence of three earthquakes of magnitude (M w ) greater than 6.6 including the October 2005, Muzaffarabad–Kashmir earthquake. The multifractal spectrum and related parameters are explored to understand the time dynamics and clustering of the events.  相似文献

阐述了锚泊阻尼定义以及当前各种研究方法,选取一组用于实际工程中的锚泊线参数.通过改变预张力、振幅、振荡频率、轴向刚度、法向拖曳力系数和表面流速等参数,研究各参数对锚泊水平阻尼及垂向阻尼的影响.为使研究一般化,文中锚泊阻尼以及预张力等参数采取无量纲形式.  相似文献
