The study is focused on pollution transport in rivers flowing in cryolithozone and takes into account possible channel deformations caused by thawing of permafrost rocks in which the channel runs. The methods used are laboratory and mathematical modeling. The mathematical model consists of four blocks: hydrodynamic, thermal, deformation, and pollutant transport. The model was validated and tested against the data of a laboratory experiment. Numerical experiments suggested conclusions regarding the propagation of pollutants entering the flow from sources in thawing bank slopes and on river floodplain.  相似文献

Results of field studies of Istra River current dynamics over a 35-km reach in the lower pool of a hydrosystem are analyzed. Data on the distribution of current velocities in cross-sections with different morphometry and the characteristics of bottom deposits at significantly different water discharges, and data on variations in the water surface slope are presented. The coefficients of hydraulic friction are assessed.  相似文献

We present the results of photometric observations of Saturn's seventh satellite Hyperion and four other planetary satellites: Saturn's moon Phoebe and three Jovian satellites Himalia, Elara, and Pasiphae. The observations have been conducted from September, 1999 to March, 2000, and during September–October, 2000. Analysis of periodic variations in Hyperion's lightcurve was performed. The lightcurve was modeled using the software package developed for calculating the rotational dynamics of a satellite. Our data generally indicate that over the period of observations Hyperion was in the chaotic mode of rotation.  相似文献

The hydrodynamic regime of water flow in the lower pool of a hydrosystem during winter releases is analyzed on the basis of field experiments. Measurement data on the velocities of currents and variations in water surface level are presented, these data being necessary for modeling bed deformations in non-steady-state open flows under the conditions of ice jam formation due to the effect of release wave on the ice cover in the hydrosystem lower pool.  相似文献
