Overbank deposits in the Komissarovka River valley consist of alternating silt, clay silt, sand, and soils produced by lacustrine, alluvial, and aeolian deposition and by soil formation. Silt and sand layers in the lower part of the section correlate with the events of Early Holocene transgression and Middle Holocene regression of Lake Khanka. Deposition in the lowermost reaches of the Komissarovka River provides a faithful record of local Holocene landscapes controlled by level changes in Lake Khanka.  相似文献

We examine the vegetation cover of Sidorov and Gerasimov Islands in comparison with the continental shore of Tabunnaya Bay. It is found that Sidorov, Gerasimov and Bychii Islands differ from the shore area of Tabunnaya Bay in higher species diversity of lichens. Burozems of the continental hummocky terrain are characterized by an eroded shallow and strongly skeletal profile. Sidorov and Gerasimov Islands, unlike the continental shore area, distinctly show an additional phase of development of mixed (coniferous-broad-leaved) forest preceding the contemporary period; furthermore, Artemisa gmelinii associations and lime formations were of widespread occurrence in this area during cold climatic periods, while the continental shore area was the home for birch-shrub communities.  相似文献

A comprehensive investigation of the current state of soil-vegetation cover has been conducted. A pattern of reconstruction of the temporal dynamics for 4 small islands in the Gulf of Peter the Great has been obtained. Sequential changes in vegetation from polydominant broad-leaved to coniferous-broad-leaved forests on Engel’m, Lavrov and Shkot Islands observed are probably bound up with climate factors in the beginning of the Late Holocene. The transition from coniferous-broad-leaved to sparse broad-leaved forest has been probably caused by recent anthropogenic influences. The coniferous-broad-leaved forests growing on podsol soils (Naumov Island) are presently dominant, what is one of characteristics of an anthropogenically transformed ecosystem.  相似文献

Palynological data on soil profiles of burozems from Petrov Island offer a means of identifying two periods in their evolution: a cold period that was responsible for the development of podzolized burozems, and a subsequent warm period accompanied by an intensification of accumulative-humic and illuvial-humic soil-formation processes, and this did account for the peculiar morphological structure of contemporary burozems.  相似文献

Alluvial, aeolian and pedogenic horizons were detected in floodplain deposits of small rivers of Southeastern Transbaikalia. The occurrence of pedogenic horizons in floodplain deposits indicates that they were formed at periods of an enhancement in erosion activity at the end of the dry cold phase and at the beginning of the dry warm phase during the overall course of heat availability and humidification of climate in the latter half of the Holocene. An enhancement in fluvial activity corresponded to the cold humid phase, whereas an intensification of the aeolian process was taking place during the dry cold phase.  相似文献
