According to the forecasts of the World Health Organization, 70% of the world’s population will have lived in large and small cities by 2050. This means that more than two-thirds of the planet’s population will become a part of new natural-technical formation, that is, geobiotechnoecosystems. Such ecosystems are characterized by profound changes in natural properties during active human impacts and by acquiring new qualities. The changes manifest themselves in all ecological functions of the terrestrial spheres: the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, and the lithosphere, including a change in the geophysical (energetic) potential as well. The presented material can be considered as a basis for the formation of Geophysical Urban Ecology, which is a new scientific and practical field. 相似文献

Onshore oil and gas production is often accompanied by accidents of varying severities and negative consequences. Operations within the areas of peripheral seas and the World Ocean have significantly aggravated the situation and driven a significant part of the emergencies related to the production of hydrocarbons to regional and global levels. The use of new technologies in the production of shale hydrocarbons has added a new problem, that is, the probability of total contamination of a large volume of geological environment with highly toxic chemicals. The discovery of a new promising fossil energy source, gas hydrates, makes it possible only to outline the possible related hazards and shows that the environmental risk can increase by many times. To withstand the threat of emergencies related to the growth of hydrocarbon production, it is advisable to establish special control and rapid-response structures on a nationwide scale. Such structures may be open to international cooperation in the jurisdiction of the United Nations, if necessary. 相似文献

A measurable effect of mass bombing on weak to moderate seismicity, endogenous microseism intensity, and acceleration of tectonic processes has been found. This effect is seen in the regime of strong and catastrophic earthquakes, a decrease in magnitude and time for their preparation, and lesser seismic hazard. The M = 7.8 Van Earthquake on October 23, 2011, was induced to occur early due to mass bombing in Libya and other regions of North Africa; however, the induced character caused its magnitude to be less by several tenths than it might have been. 相似文献

Among the ecological functions of the Earth’s spheres that play an important role in the formation of ecological conditions on the Earth, the geophysical function is “assigned” the role of a regulator of energy exchange between living and inert matter. The geophysical ecological function is realized through the natural and technogenic physical fields, whose total potential is a factor of physical (energy) impact on living organisms. As a result there can be an energy imbalance that would lead to a change in the ecological situation surrounding humans and the world of coexisting living organisms. 相似文献
