Water type variation during pumping test —Al Jaww plain southeast of Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates

The waterquality of ten selected wells was investigated during the pumping test where possible future irrigation projects and land reclamation are concentrated. The investigation of the groundwater modification during the pumping test is combined with a change of water type. A hydrogeochemical model is presented for the water quality modification during pumping tests. This model indicates the presence of calcium-bicarbonate, calcium-sulphate, sodium-sulphate and sodium-chloride water families from top to bottom within the water-bearing formations. The existence of these different families is due to the time of pumping test.  相似文献
