Orographic effects on monthly-and seasonal-scale low frequency oscillation are investiged in terms of a five-level global spectral model with a triangle truncation at wavenumber 10 that contains relatively full physical parameterization, followed by analysis and comparison of the lowpass filtered data separately obtained from models with and without orography. Results show that remarkable seasonal characteristics are displayed in the orographic forcing-generated low frequency wavetrain on monthly and seasonal scales. It is found that the Northern Hemisphere summer orography-produced tropical heating acts as source of the low-frequency wavetrain for both hemispheres. Besides, the simulations indicate that the orographic wavetrain perturbation can give rise to the anomaly in the equatorial zonal flow, whose transient forcing will cause a new wavetrain in the Southern Hemisphere, thus completing the cross-equatorial propagation of the northern wave in interhemispheric action.  相似文献

使用5年低阶全球谱模式资料,对中高纬大气和热带大气季节内振荡的动力学性质和传播特征进行了诊断研究。分析发现模式再现了大气中季节内振荡在热带和中高纬地区的传播特性以及它们之间的差异。热带大气30—60天振荡在速度势场上表现为纬向—波结构和行波特性,而在散度风场上反映了赤道西太平洋—印度洋东西向偶极子型的振荡。中高纬大气30—60天振荡表现为定常波位相和振幅的变化,即波包络的传播特征。它与中高纬地区遥相关型的转换有关,通过遥相关位相和振幅的变化,不仅完成了热带和中高纬地区之间以及热带不同区域之间的能量输送,而且通过这种能量输送过程把南、北半球中高纬地区季节内振荡联系起来。  相似文献

使用五层全球谱模式研究地形对月、季尺度低频振荡的影响。该模式为三角形截断,截断波数为10,并含有较为完善的物理过程参数化,对分别用有地形和无地形模式来模拟的低通滤波资料进行了分析和比较。结果表明,地形强迫产生的月、季尺度低频波列有明显的季节特征。北半球夏季由地形影响产生的热带热源是南北半球低频波列的源。模拟结果进一步指出北半球地形强迫产生的波列扰动可以引起赤道纬向流的异常,这种纬向流的瞬变强迫可以  相似文献

Analysis is done of five-year low-pass filtered data by a five-layer low-order global spectral model, indicating that although any non-seasonal external forcing is not considered in the model atmosphere,monthly-scale anomaly takes place which is of remarkable seasonality and interannual variability.Analysis also shows that for the same seasonal external forcing the model atmosphere can exhibit two climatic states,similar in the departure pattern but opposite in sign, indicating that the anomaly is but the manifestation of the adverse states, which supports the theory of multi-equilibria proposed by Charney and Devore(1979) once again.Finally, the source for the low-frequency oscillation of the global atmosphere is found to be the convective heat source / sink inside the tropical atmosphere as discussed before in our study.Therefore, the key approach to the exploration of atmospheric steady low-frequency oscillation and the associated climatic effect lies in the examination of the distribution of convect  相似文献

本文初步建立了一个可用于模拟几十年到上百年气候变化的全球大气-海洋-海冰耦合的环流模式(CGCM).该模式采用“预估-校正”的月平均距平耦合方案,把一个两层大气环流模式(AGCM)和一个20层海洋环流模式(OGCM)耦合在一起;由于北冰洋尚未被包括在海洋模式内,因此我们在大气模式中嵌入了一个北冰洋薄层热力学海洋模式.130年的积分试验表明,尽管耦合模式的长时期积分中存在着明显的气候漂移现象,但模式模拟的全球气候的空间分布特征基本上是合理的.这为进一步利用该模式模拟全球增强温室效应提供了数值实验依据.  相似文献
