Summary Argillaceous sediments of jurassic and lower cretaceous age in NW-Germany contain in several localities authigenous ZnS-polytypes. The crystals with a maximum height of 2 mm exhibit hexagonal-pyramidal and trigonal-pyramidal habit.With X-ray rotation and precession technique the following polytypes could be identified: Sphalerite (3 R = 3 C) 211, 411, 6H 9R, 12R, 15R and 21R.The 9 R-, 12 R- and 21 R-polytypes have not until now been described elsewhere.The structures of the new polytypes were determined as 9R=(21), 12R=(13) and 21R=(3112).Oriented intergrowths of R- and H-polytypes were frequently observed. From the intergrowth-phenomena arguments for the environmental conditions of formation can be deducted.[/p]  相似文献

The methods of celestial mechanics can be used to construct a mathematical model for the perturbed rotational motions of the deformable Earth that can adequately describe the astrometric measurements of the International Earth Rotation Service (IERS). This model describes the gravitational and tidal influences of the Sun and Moon. Fine resonant interactions of long-period zonal tides (annual, semiannual, monthly, and biweekly) with the diurnal and semidiurnal tides are revealed. These interactions can be reliably confirmed via a spectral analysis of the IERS data. Numerical modeling of tidal irregularities of the Earth’s axial rotation was carried out, focusing on the analysis and forecasting of variations of the day length occurring within short time intervals of a year or shorter (intrayear variations).  相似文献

The finite-offset (FO) common-reflection-surface (CRS) stack has been shown to be able to handle not only P-P or S-S but also arbitrarily converted reflections. It can provide different stack sections such as common-offset (CO), common-midpoint (CMP) and common-shot (CS) sections with significantly increased signal-to-noise ratio from the multi-coverage pre-stack seismic data in a data-driven way. It is our purpose in this paper to demonstrate the performance of the FO CRS stack on data involving converted waves in inhomogeneous layered media. In order to do this we apply the FO CRS stack for common-offset to a synthetic seismic data set involving P-P as well as P-S converted primary reflections. We show that the FO CRS stack yields convincing improvement of the image quality in the presence of noisy data and successfully extracts kinematic wavefield attributes useful for further analyses. The extracted emergence angle information is used to achieve a complete separation of the wavefield into its P-P and P-S wave components, given the FO CRS stacked horizontal and vertical component sections.  相似文献

Mica, smectite, and chlorite are the characteristic clay minerals in about 120 Recent sediment samples of Lake Constance as shown by semiquantitative clay mineral analysis. Interstratified clay minerals are practically absent, kandites were not found.The decrease of the smectite/mica ratio from West to East is apparently due to the dominance of the mica-chlorite assemblage of the Rhine river derived from the northern Alps in the eastern part of the lake. With increasing distance from the delta of the Rhine river, the Tertiary Molasse clay minerals (mainly mica and smectite) derived from rocks surrounding the lake become more abundant.
Zusammenfassung An 120 Sedimentproben aus dem Bodensee wurde der Tonmineralbestand der Fraktion <2 durch die röntgenographische Phasenanalyse halbquantitativ ermittelt.Glimmer, Smectit und Chlorit sind die charakteristischen Tonmineralgruppen in den Sedimenten. Mixed-layer-Minerale treten so gut wie nicht auf, Kandite konnten nicht nachgewiesen werden.Aus der Bestimmung der relativen Häufigkeit von Glimmer und Smectit ergibt sich, daß das Smectit/Glimmer-Verhältnis von Osten (Einmündung des Alpenrheins) nach Westen ständig zunimmt.Diese Verteilung ist durch die Zufuhr von Glimmer und Chlorit durch den Alpenrhein aus den nördlichen Alpen bedingt, die jedoch mit zunehmender Entfernung vom Delta durch die Molasse-Distributiv-Provinz mit vorherrschend Glimmer und Smectit überlagert wird.

Sudoite, muscovite, and quartz are authigenic minerals of the Cornberger Sandstein, the youngest eolian member of the uppermost Lower Permian. The sudoite is to a great extent similar to the material from the Kesselberg area (Black Forest, Germany).

We investigate the short-term fluctuations in the period range from 15 to 180 minutes in the electron density variations of the F region ionosphere. Electron density profiles obtained at the ionospheric stations of Pruhonice (49.9° N, 14.5° E) and Ebro (40.8° N, 0.5° E) at five minute time sampling have been used for this analysis. The diurnal changes of the activity of the acoustic gravity wave fluctuations (AGW) show a clear enhancement during and several hours after sunrise. The periods of such AGW's are about 60 to 75 minutes and these waves propagates vertically through the ionosphere from a source located at an altitude of 180-220 km. The most likely source for these events seems to be passage of the Solar terminator.  相似文献

Lensoid, irregular nodules and laminations of chert appear along the bedding planes and laminations of the Vidyanagar Dolomite Member of the Kaladgi Group, Karnataka, India. The field relations of the chert nodules with the host dolomite and evidence on polished hand-specimens clearly demonstrate that the cherts are secondary after dolomite. This contention finds extensive support from thin-sections which reveal floating relict dolomite fragments on a microcrystalline quartz mat, dolomite rhombs in various stages of progressive replacement, polycrystalline quartz rhombs apparently after dolomite. Chertification has also resulted in an aggrading neomorphic recrystallization of dolomicrite into dolomicrospar which rims the dislodged floating fragments of dolomite.Scanning electron microscopic studies revealed three distinct types of surfaces of chert; the polyhedral surface characteristic of microcrystalline quartz, the spongy surface characteristic of chalcedonic quartz (documented in thin-sections as semi-radiating to radiating aggregates of elongated crystals growing on the rhombic surfaces of dolomite, and the intermediate type showing both. The microcrystalline quartz seems to have originated through multinucleation at equally spaced centres on the dolomite mat, whereas the chalcedonic quartz originated by slow but direct and unhindered precipitation into cavities and residual pore-spaces, following dolomitisation. The silica invasion seems to have been accomplished by alkaline interstitial waters charged with silica.The occurrence and relation of chert-nodules with the host dolomite not only helps in unravelling their own origin, but also aids in drawing the dolomitisation curtain and in turn the post-dolomitisation diagenetic modifications of the host carbonates. It may be added, however, that the Kaladgi Carbonates have undergone mineralogical/textural modifications during diagenesis with superimposition of changes affected later, i.e. during tectonism which folded and cross-folded these sediments.  相似文献

The results of experiments on the physical modeling of long-range infrasonic propagation in the atmosphere are given. Such modeling is based on the possible coincidence between the forms of the vertical profiles of the effective sound speed stratification in the atmospheric boundary layer (between 0 and 600 m for the case under consideration) and in the atmosphere as a whole (from the land surface up to thermospheric heights (about 150 km)). The source of acoustic pulses was an oscillator of detonation type. Owing to the detonation of a gas mixture of air (or oxygen) and propane, this generator was capable of producing short, powerful (the maximum acoustic pressure was on the order of 30 to 60 Pa at a distance of 50 to 100 m from the oscillator), and sufficiently stable acoustic pulses with a spectral maximum at frequencies of 40 to 60 Hz and a pulsing period of 20 to 30 s. The sites of acoustic-signal recording were located at different distances (up to 6.5 km) from the source and in different azimuthal directions. The temperature and wind stratifications were monitored in real time during the experiments with an acoustic locator—a sodar—and a temperature profiler. The data on the physical modeling of long-range sound propagation in the atmosphere are analyzed to verify the physical and mathematical models of predicting acoustic fields in the inhomogeneous moving atmosphere on the basis of the parabolic equation and the method of normal waves. A satisfactory agreement between calculated and experimental data is obtained. One more task was to compare the theoretical relations between variations in the azimuths and angles of tilting of sound rays about the horizon and the parameters of anisotropic turbulence in the lower troposphere and stratosphere with the experimental data. A theoretical interpretation of the experimental results is proposed on the basis of the theory of anisotropic turbulence in the atmosphere. The theoretical and experimental results are compared, and a satisfactory agreement between these results is noted.  相似文献

The studies conducted in 1991–2004 by scientists of the A.M. Obukhov Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry yielded data on the structures of the surface air layer (to a height of 20 m) and both subinversion and inversion layers (to heights of from 800 m to 1 km), where arid aerosol is transported. One of the main objectives of the 2007 experiment was to record the space-vortex structures within a layer of 30–700 m that directly provide the removal and long-range transport of fine-dispersed (<5 µm) desert aerosol. This paper describes the organization of the Khar-Gzyr 2007 experiment (Black Lands, 2007) to study the convective removal of arid aerosol from desertificated lands, and it presents some data obtained from the remote sensing of the atmospheric boundary layer with a sodar network in the course of this experiment. The sodar network, which was developed to study a spatial structure of coherent vortices, included three identical minisodars (with carrier frequencies of 3.8 kHz) located at the apices of a triangle, each side of which was about 3.5 km, and a sodar (with a carrier frequency of 1.7 kHz). The vertical profiles of the three wind-velocity components and the characteristics of air temperature fluctuations were determined. The procedure of identifying coherent vortex structures is described. The variations in the vertical and horizontal wind-velocity components and the scales characteristic of such structures are estimated.  相似文献

To enable detailed investigations of early stage hydrothermal plume formation and abiotic and biotic plume processes we developed a new oceanographic tool. The Suspended Particulate Rosette sampling system has been designed to collect geochemical and microbial samples from the rising portion of deep-sea hydrothermal plumes. It can be deployed on a remotely operated vehicle for sampling rising plumes, on a wire-deployed water rosette for spatially discrete sampling of non-buoyant hydrothermal plumes, or on a fixed mooring in a hydrothermal vent field for time series sampling. It has performed successfully during both its first mooring deployment at the East Pacific Rise and its first remotely-operated vehicle deployments along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. It is currently capable of rapidly filtering 24 discrete large-water-volume samples (30–100 L per sample) for suspended particles during a single deployment (e.g. >90 L per sample at 4–7 L per minute through 1 μm pore diameter polycarbonate filters). The Suspended Particulate Rosette sampler has been designed with a long-term goal of seafloor observatory deployments, where it can be used to collect samples in response to tectonic or other events. It is compatible with in situ optical sensors, such as laser Raman or visible reflectance spectroscopy systems, enabling in situ particle analysis immediately after sample collection and before the particles alter or degrade.  相似文献
