The peculiarities of the influence of Debye parameters' variations on the characteristics of the microwave radiation field of water solutions are examined. Examples of these parameters and their variation according to the data of different authors are presented. This paper considers the use of multifrequency radiometers to determine some emission properties of sea surface and its dependence on wind speed, atmospheric water vapor content, and liquid water content in clouds. The following aspects are analyzed: a) the sea state influence upon radiative characteristics of the "ocean-atmosphere" system, b) calibration of the data on range measurement, c) choice of spectral bands which provide optimum accuracy for determination of geophysical parameters with due regard to the spectral peculiarities of the functional relationships between the radiophysical and geophysical parameters and their uncertainties. Data are presented (with suitable illustrations) for an experiment to determine different hydrometeorological conditions and estimates of the accuracy of applied retrieval procedures. 相似文献

A 3.4-cm wavelength radiometer aboard the Mars 2 and 3 orbiters observed the brightness temperature due to planetary thermal emission in two orthogonal polarizations as a function of position on Mars. Preliminary results for two orbits of Mars 3 show a correlation between subsurface temperature and dielectric constant, interpreted as an effect of porosity. 相似文献

This paper discusses remote sensing (RS) of the major types of water bodies by means of microwave radiometry. The analysis is based on theoretical models and experimental data taken under laboratory conditions, in a pool, from a shore, and over the oceans using aircraft and satellites. The radiation is found to depend on wind speed and the geometry of ripples, gravity waves, swell, foam, and some physical and chemical parameters of water such as its temperature, salinity, and concentration of some types of polutants. The estimates of the effectiveness of the microwave radiometric method for determining the above mentioned water-surface parameters are given. Examples of the application of microwave radiometry to obtaining operational information about some of them are also presented. The types of water observed are the inland waters, fresh or with a high concentration of salts, clean or polluted, and the oceans. The paper is based on the theoretical and experimental investigations conducted by the author and his colleagues at the Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics of the Academy of Sciences in the USSR over the last 20 years. It also draws upon well-known Soviet and foreign publications. 相似文献
