The Viséan (Carboniferous) sedimentary succession of the basinal Kulm facies (Rhenish Mountains) was investigated in detail in order to achieve a high‐resolution stratigraphic subdivision and correlation. Additionally, the ranges of fossil index taxa (ammonoids), fossil marker beds, volcaniclastic horizons and sedimentary features (e.g. colour changes) were integrated in the correlation. As a result, a comprehensive database was compiled, which contains 190 stratigraphic events of the Viséan interval of this area. Several sections are almost completely composed of shales, which are regarded to represent a slow but constant basinal background sedimentation of the Kulm facies. The thickness of lithological homogeneous sections thus indicates an approximately linear record of time and the average thicknesses of biozones and positions of stratigraphic events can easily be calculated from the compiled database. The result is an approximately time‐linear biostratigraphic scale for the Viséan Stage of the Kulm Basin. Given a numerical length of the Viséan Stage of ca. 19 Ma, 190 stratigraphic events give a mean resolution of 100 000 years. This is unique in Palaeozoic stratigraphy. 首次在新疆准噶尔盆地西北缘和什托洛盖以北地区的晚泥盆世法门晚期地层中发现板海神石及大型弓海神石菊石动物。板海神石动物群由Platyclymenia(Pl.)subnautilina(Sandberger)、Sporadoceras sp.和Prionocerasfrechi(Wedekind)等分子组成;可能与Annulata事件有关。弓海神石动物群中Protactoclymenia sp.和Cyrtoclymenia?sp.以壳体硕大为显著特征,直径可达20cm。这些菊石可与西欧晚泥盆世标准菊石带第Ⅳ带的菊石组合进行对比(相当于牙形石Upper trachytera至Lower expansa带),而且在区域上的分布具有一定的稳定性,尤其是弓海神石动物群,其产出层位可作为和什托洛盖以北地区地层对比的标志层。  相似文献

湘中佘田桥剖面的佘田桥阶大致与弗拉斯阶范围一致 ,其下为吉维阶泥质灰岩 ,含腕足类 Emanuella tak-wanensis等及竹节石 Viriatellina kienelensis等。佘田桥阶自下而上分别为榴江组、蒸水河组、老江冲组。榴江组主要是紫红色粉砂质泥岩 /粉砂岩互层、底部为黑色薄层硅质岩。蒸水河组下部以灰黑色及暗灰色钙质泥页岩为主 ,含介形虫 Bertillonella erecta、B.cicatricosa?、Franklinella calcarata、Entomozoe(N ehdentomis) tenera及菊石 Meso-beloceras?sp.;上部泥质灰岩、似瘤状灰岩、粉砂质泥岩含牙形石 Palmatolepis cf.semichatovae、大型菊石 Mantico-ceras sp.及介形虫 Entomozoe(N ehdentomis) pseudorichterina。老江冲组以泥页岩为主 ,顶部附近则出现一些泥质灰岩、似瘤状泥灰岩层 ,产丰富的小嘴贝类、无洞贝类及弓石燕类等腕足动物 ,少量海绵 (?)及珊瑚等。佘田桥阶的顶界与弗拉斯阶的顶界一致 ,即以无洞贝类和大量四射珊瑚的绝灭为标志 ,而 Yannanellina腕足动物群的出现开始于锡矿山阶 (或法门阶 )。综合各类化石资料 ,佘田桥剖面的榴江组大致相当于牙形石 falsiovalis带— punctata带 ,蒸水河组相当于 L ower hassi带— L ower rhenana带 ,老江冲组相当于 U pper rhenana带— linguiform  相似文献

The litho‐ and biostratigraphy of the mid‐ to upper‐Cretaceous System around the Yagumaike Pond in the Aridagawa area, Wakayama, Southwest Japan, were investigated. Many Middle to Late Albian megafossils were found in the strata of a block bounded by faults. It was also revealed that the Upper Cretaceous System of other blocks ranges from the Middle Turonian to Santonian. The Albian megafossil assemblage contains few benthic organisms, in contrast with the abundance of nektons found (e.g. cephalopods). Sedimentological observations of the mudstone profiles also indicate that scarcely or weakly bioturbated, well‐laminated mudstone is dominant among the Albian deposits. These results suggest deposition of the Albian mudstone under a dysaerobic to anoxic environment. It is comparable to the extended oceanic anoxia (OAEs) in mid‐Cretaceous time. Albian deposits with similar characteristics are also known to exist in Shikoku, Southwest Japan. A wide sedimentary basin that was directly affected by global environmental events, such as OAEs, seemed to be formed on the Chichibu Belt in the Albian. The Upper Cretaceous strata in the study area are extremely thin, similar to the coeval deposits on the Chichibu Belt in Shikoku. It is suggested that the sedimentation rate in the sedimentary basin on the Chichibu Belt was extremely low during early Late Cretaceous time.  相似文献

The International Union of Geological Science approved the stage boundaries suggested by the international working groups for the Tethyan Triassic. In this work we estimate the possibility of their establishment and correlation in the Boreal sections of Northeast Asia, based on the analyzed distribution of ammonoids and conodonts. As the conodonts of the Induan Stage have not been identified for sure in the region under study, the lower boundary of the Triassic System is defined here at the base of the Otoceras concavum Zone of the ammonoid scale. In addition to the ammonoids Hedenstroemia hedenstroemi (Keyserling), the first occurrence of the conodonts Pseudogondolella nepalensis (Kozur et Mostler) is suggested to be the biomarker of the Olenekian Stage base. The lower boundaries of the Anisian and Ladinian stages, defined respectively at the basal levels of the Paracrochordiceras-Japonites Beds in Northern Dobrogea and the Eoprotrachyceras curionii Zone in the Brescian Prealps are recognizable, though with some reservations, at the base of the Grambergia taimyrensis and Eonathorstites oleshkoi zones in Northeast Asia. According to the priority principle and similarity between the ammonoid faunas of the Daxatina cf. canadensis Subzone and Frankites regoledanus Zone, the lower boundary of the Carnian Stage is defined at the base of the Alpine Trachyceras aon Zone. In Northeast Asia, this boundary is established at the base of the “Protrachyceras” omkutchanicum Zone, as we take into account the fact that the Daxatina and Stolleyites ammonoid genera occur in sections of British Columbia below the stratigraphic level of the Trachyceras forms. The lower boundary of the Norian Stage is concurrent with the base of the Guembelites jandianus Zone in the Alps and equivalent Stikinoceras kerri Zone in North America and Striatosirenites kinasovi Zone in Northeast Asia. The conodont species Norigondolella navicula (Huckriede) that is most important for the Boreal-Tethyan correlation cannot be used as a biomarker of the Norian lower boundary because of its problematic diagnosis and rare occurrence in the Boreal sections. The Rhaetian Stage base is defined at the appearance level of the Misikella conodont genus in the Hallstatt region, Austria, that is simultaneously the disappearance level of the characteristic Norian bivalves (Monotis) and ammonoids (Metasibirites). In Northeast Asia, this boundary is established at the top of the Monotis ochotica Zone. The correlation between the biostratigraphic units of the Middle-Upper Triassic conodont scale established in Northeast Asia and standard ammonoid zonation is verified.  相似文献

The history of Triassic ammonoids in the Siberian Province of the Boreal Paleobiogeographic Realm is recorded in detail in sections of Northeast Asia. In this region there are known at present 123 Triassic ammonoid genera of 41 family and 3 orders. Six stages and 14 substages are defined based on main levels of taxonomic restructuring of Triassic ammonoids, changes in their genera and families diversity, and changes in percentage of endemic and cosmopolitan taxa in assemblages. Each stage and substage is characterized by individual taxonomic composition of ammonoids, dominant groups, trends of changes in taxonomic diversity, and percentages of endemic and cosmopolitan taxa. Boundaries of ammonoid evolution stages coincide as a rule with boundaries of series and stages, whereas boundaries of evolutionary substages match those of substages. In the history of Triassic ammonoids of Northeast Asia, the periods of a rather monotonous fauna represented mainly by cosmopolitan or panboreal taxa (early Induan, early Olenekian, early Anisian, late Anisian, early Carnian, early and middle Norian) alternated with periods, typical of which were higher rates of taxa origination and endemism of ammonoids (late Induan, late Olenekian, middle Anisian, Ladinian, late Carnian). Changing degree of cosmopolitism and endemism of Triassic ammonoid faunas from Northeast Asia is shown to be connected with global eustatic sea-level fluctuations and climatic changes.  相似文献

Data obtained on conodont distribution in the Permian-Triassic Sovetashen Section of Transcaucasia provide further limitations on the age of the carbon-isotopic anomalies discovered by Baud et al. (1989). The significance of Caucasian sections for working out the carbon-isotope standard for the Upper Permian and Lower Triassic (Induan) is shown. Original data on carbon-isotope composition of bivalve and brachiopod shells from Permian sediments of North-Eastern Russia (Omolon and Okhotsk areas) have been obtained, which may be used for their correlation.  相似文献

上三叠统巴贡组分布于长江源各拉丹冬地区南北两侧 ,南部靠近羌塘盆地中央隆起带 ,沉积环境为三角洲至浅海相 ,陆源物资供应丰富 ,以砂岩沉积为主 ,地层厚度大。北部雀莫错一带沉积环境为陆棚相 ,陆源物资供应相对较少 ,以泥质岩、灰岩沉积为主 ,生物丰富 ,沉积古地理格局显示出南浅北深的特点。在雀莫错一带采集了大量的菊石化石 ,建立 N odotibetitescf.nodosus- Paratibetitescf.wheeleri组合 ,生物组合所反映的地质时代为诺利早—中期 ,与藏南珠穆朗玛峰地区、藏北唐古拉山地区及青海玉树地区同期地层中的菊石生物群可以很好对比。  相似文献
