Abstract:In order to study microscopic damaged specifics of rock under high strain rate, some samples of migmatitic granite and magnetite ore have been impacted in high velocity through three axes SHPB (Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar) experimental apparatus, and the damaged states of particles in rocks have been observed through a polarizing microscope and a scanning electronic microscope. The microscopic damaged specifics of rock is shown in this paper.
