Abstract:Due to the complex topological structure of the interchange overpass,it is difficult to maintain the topology connectivity using the current updating methods.Therefore,this paper proposes an incremental updating method for the interchanges considering the topological connectivity.The method is based on 21 topological structure types and nine change types of interchanges.The topological structure types are identified by the number of ramps and the topological intersection points.Based on the 21 categories of topological structure and the nine change types of the interchanges,66 rules for the incremental update of interchanges are designed.Finally,an incremental updating prototype system is developed,and the incremental updating method for interchange overpass is implemented for 1∶10000 road network data.The methods are verified by Changsha OSM road network data.
