| Abstract: | On the basis of effective stress strength theory and Henkel's pore-water equation,formulae and relationship of undrained strength of normally -consolidated saturated clay under various triaxial and plane strain tests are established. Preliminary discussion on the calculation of strength increase of sofi clay with consolidation is made. |
