Abstract:The combination of laser ablation(LA) and multicollector-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(MC-ICP-MS) has been widely used in the field of geoscience in recent years. It is very suitable for studying the internal compositions and distributions of minerals in a micro perspective. Coherent GeoLasPro 193 nm LA system and the Thermo Scientific Neptune plus MC-ICP-MS have been combined together by Shandong Institute of Geological Sciences, and the high resolution in situ U-Pb zircon dating method has been established. According to this method, situ U-Pb age determination of zircon standard samples 91500, GJ-1 and plesOvice has been carried out. The experimental results show that the test results of this method are consistent with the recommended value within the error range, which verifies the accuracy, precision and stability of the instrument and the effectiveness of the test method flow system.
