| Abstract: | Digital mapping is becoming a more and more important data source for GIS,however,it cannot fulfill the GIS requirement due to the limitation of traditional mapping requirements.Starting from the introduction of digital mapping,by analyzing the issues of operation type and mapping concept of digital mapping of digital mapping,and comparing the digital mapping software and GIS software,this paper pointed out the conflicts between them.Then,through analyzing the difference between digital mapping and GIS data from various aspects,this paper proposed a concept of GIS data extending model,which acts as a foundation for the realization of unified map-database digital mapping software. |
