| Abstract: | New development of membrane technology in seawater desalination and multipurpose use is reviewed in this paper. Recently-developed seawater reverse osmosis ( SWRO ) desalination technologies ( SWRO + Energy exchanger, SWRO + Interstage turbine, NF + SWRO + MSF ) and new processes of deepgoing development and utilization of marine resources with the membrane technology are discussed in detail. This review will provide some guide for the seawater desalination and multipurpose use through the membrane technology. |
