Abstract:The global ionospheric maps and international reference ionosphere as common ionosphere model are described. Observations in 2011 derived from three ionosondes in China are analysed. Comparative analysis between the measured data in China with global ionospheric maps and international reference ionosphere are represented in the work. The result indicates that global ionospheric maps is better than international reference ionosphere to describe the variation of electron content of ionosphere, and the accuracy of IRI2011 which is the latest version of international reference ionosphere is much higher than IRI2007.
