| Abstract: | The miliolite limestones occur in Arabia, Sindh, Kutch and Saurashtra. The mode of formation of the miliolite from the Saurashtra region is a disputed point. According to one theory it is thought to be of marine origin, while according to another it is thought to be of aeolian origin. Results based on the field work carried out in the Saurashtra peninsula and laboratory studies, suggest that the deposit should be of marine origin. |
