| Abstract: | Task-based language teaching (TBLT) attaches great importance to the functional use of language, thereby improving students' communicative competence. The author's one-year TBLT application yields positive results with regard to the students' enthusiasm in language learning as well as to their communicative competence and proves both practical and successful in college English teaching in a Chinese setting. |
