海表地转流差商计算试验分析

摘    要:基于卫星高度计海面异常高度资料反演的海表地转流场在海洋学研究中应用广泛。针对Arbic等(2012)提出的海表地转流差商计算改进算法,以南海为试验海区,通过涡动能和中尺度涡自动识别计算试验对差商改进方法进行有效性检验。结果表明,七点中差法计算的海表地转流场比其他常用差商方法更利于中尺度涡旋外边界确定,得出的涡动能分布规律和数值大小也更符合实际。

Abstract:Surface ocean geostrophic current fields based on sea level anomaly data from the satellite altimeter arewidely used in physical oceanography research.The improved method raised by Arbic et.al (2012) to computethe difference coefficient of the surface ocean geostrophic current is examined in the South China Sea bycalculating eddy kinetic energy and a vector geometry-based eddy detection algorithm.The surface oceangeostrophic current field calculated by the seven point central difference method is more convenient for a vectorgeometry-based eddy detection algorithm to define the outskirt of mesoscale eddies.Besides,the distributioncharacter and the value of eddy kinetic energy are similar to what others have already got.
