| Abstract: | Law of "opening and closing" is one of the basic principles in geoscience dialectics. The present paper deals with its content and characteristics, elucidates its significance in the study of orogenic belts and the procedures in applying it to the study of orogenic belts. Finally, based on the hitherto summarized five kinds of "opening and closing", the five types of orogenic belt are proposed respectively in the paper. |
