| Abstract: | The Hsuanmachuang Coal Series widespread along the Serten and Daqinshan Mountains were considered as the Permo Carboniferous pure continental deposits in the intermontane basins on the ″Inner Mongolian Geological Axis″(or platform uplift). Based on recent investigation, the so called Hsuanmachuang Coal Series along the southern slope of the Daqinshan Mountains is different from that of the Serten Range in sedimentary succession and petrographic composition, and it is named the Adaohe Formation here. |
