| Abstract: | Based on field investigations, indoor analyses and 14C dating,this paper discusses the laws of the formation and development of the paleosols in the northeast region of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau since the Late Pleistocene. The author establishes basic condi-tions of calimate,vegetation,soil and natural zones during the three periods in which the paleosols were formed,i. e. the last interglacial stage of the Late Pleistocene,the last stage of the Late Pleistocene and the high temperature stage (Megathermal) of the Holocene. Finally,this paper discusses the relationship between the paleosols and the up-lift of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. |
