Abstract:The plasma quantometer is a kind of high performance spectrum analysis instrument in which the radio-frequency generator is an important component. The quality of analysis directly depends on the generator's characters. For the plasma quantometer system,the generator easily occur faults due to higher output power and internal operating voltage. The authors analyse the operational principle of the generator and several common faults such as unstable power, excessive reflecting power, overload trip and ineffective automatic control and expound their solution with the coutrol circuit of automatic power. The good maintenance for the generator is a key of perfect operation of plasma quantometer.
