| Abstract: | X-ray diffraction analysis is a very important method for the studies of carbonate sediments. With the method, we have quantitatively analysed 311 samples from the Chenhang Island. A lot of data have been got. According to analysis and comparisons of them, we have made clear the changes of mineral compositions on vertical section from 12.5m to 344.5m above the surface. Mineral compositions change obviously at -17m, -218m and -318m, just where interfaces and hiatus are located. Therefore, 3 interfaces and 2 large hiatus are recognized. And we know dolomilization occurs at the hiatus or below. |
