| Abstract: | An analysis is made of the morphology, structure and evolution of the proluvial and denudational plains under the extra-arid
conditions of the Middle East. The study identified the types of pediments and the differences in their formation for platform
and orogenic regions. Consideration is given to the anthropogenic transformation of the plains as a result of long-lasting
water use and the creation of ancient megalopolises. |
