| Abstract: | The main dam of upper reservoir of pumped storage power station in Yixing of Jangsu is a concrete-faced rock fill dam. In order to reduce the amount of work, a high concrete retaining wall is constructed on the downstream to bear the earth pressure of upstream rock fill. As earth pressures are very critical to the stability of the retaining wall, this paper plays emphasis on the comparison between calculated value and actual measured value of earth pressures on high retaining wall, and also makes corresponding analysis. |
