Abstract: | The nomenclature history of the Ust-Davydovka Formation (Lower-Middle Miocene, according to its formal status) is considered with characteristics of the geological data on its stratotype in the Rechnoi Peninsula (Vladivostok area) as well as on its position and role in the regional stratigraphic scheme. The Ust-Davydovka formation was dated as Late Eocene based on the fossil micro-and macroflora. A new correlation variant proposed for Tertiary sections in different segments of the Artem-Tavrichanka Depression (type region of the Ust-Davydovka Formation) eliminates contradictions between floral and faunal data. |
