| Abstract: | This paper depicts the extrapolation method adopted in calculating casualties caused by earthquakes, describes nine methods of calculating earthquake casualty adopted and published in China and one method adopted in Japan, and discusses the following problems, such as the factors that affect calculating the casualty caused by earthquakes, calculation precision, and improvement of calculation results with correction coefficients, as well as selection of predicting methods. |
