| 摘 要： | 新中国的建立激发了侯老的工作热情，踏遍祖大地，马不停蹄，为祖经济建设急需的若干矿种在理论上和生产上都做出了创造笥成绩，锐意创新，组织创建了若干现代化研究实验室，拓宽了中国科学院地质研究所的技术覆盖能力，使地质研究所的工作已经可与当时国际上一些著名研究单位外于同一起跑线上。

| Abstract: | Since the commencement of the National Socialist Economic Reconstruction in the year of early 1950, Professor Hou was very much excited and worked hard with economic minerals, as well as oil and gas of urgent state need. He made many big contributions to both theoretical considerations and industrial critical requirement. As a young geologist, then, I was blessed with such a good chance to be able to work under his direction. I was so much impressed by his wide knowledge on geology and his precious morality.
Professor Hou's another career is his bravely struggling attitude toward scientific innovation. During his reign of the institute's directorship, he led the erection of many new laboretories needed for the modernization of the Chinese geological researeh. He actually enhanced the over-all research ability of the institute to comply with the world level at that time. |
