摘    要:本文以理论公式证明地磁测深的电磁阻抗不可能在某一“穿透频率”附近发生不连续的突变。利用“穿透频率”的概念定出的佘山地区地幔电导率是不妥的。

Abstract:The theoretical formula deduced in this paper verifies that magnetotelluric impedance in geomagnetic sounding cannot change abruptly and discontinuously when frequency approaches to a 'penetrating frequency'. Therefore, the concept of 'penetrating frequency', by which the electrical conductivities in the upper mantle beneath Zo-Se region are determined (see the reference, 1]), is incorrect.
