| Abstract: | The Mediterranean has a reputation for being highly polluted, and the cholera outbreak in southern Italy last year added to the concern about the condition of that sea. There have, however, been few biological surveys. An unpolluted area south of Naples has been declared a national park, to monitor the health of the Mediterranean in that area. This report compares conditions there with those in the Bay of Naples. |
