| 摘 要： | 湖北当阳新店—跑马岗剖面的跑马岗组跨白垩系与古近系 ,所含轮藻、介形类化石的丰富程度极为罕见。跑马岗组的时代问题与白垩系 -古近系界线及其陆相辅助层型的建立、印度德干玄武岩沉积夹层的时代、印度与亚洲大陆联合的时代和白垩系 -古近系界线事件起因假说等数个重大地学问题 ,以及江汉盆地深层油气资源评价密切相关 ,值得重视 ,尽早搞清 |

| Abstract: | The Paomagang Formation in the section of Xindian to Paomagang in Dangyang of Hubei, in the western edge of the Jianghan Basin is the transitional strata between Cretaceous and Paleogene. It is rich in fossil charophytes and ostracodes. The determination of its geological age is related to several important geological problems: the Cretaceous Paleogene boundary and the establishment of its continental auxiliary stratotype, the age of the Deccan Intertrappean beds in India, the age of the land connection between India and Asia, and a hypothesis for the cause of the Cretaceous Paleogene boundary events. The geological age is also related to how to evaluate the oil and gas resources in deep level of the Jianghan Basin. Therefore, it is worth thrashing out the age of the Paomagang Formation. |
