Radio frequency emission in electron beam-plasma and beam-beam interaction

Abstract:	A linear excitation of electromagnetic modes at frequencies $\simeq (n + \tfrac{1}{2})\omega _{ce}$ , in a plasma through which two electron beams are contra-streaming along the magnetic field is investigated. This may be a source of the observed $\tfrac{3}{2}\omega _{ce}$ emissions at auroral latitudes.
