| Abstract: | A positive correlation is reported between sodium nightglow intensity and radio wave absorption of the previous midday for the period October 1970–March 1971. For the same period a weak correlation, at best, exists for the green line (5577 Å) nightglow and absorption. The correlations are briefly discussed and water vapour is suggested as a possible link between the sodium nightglow intensity and radio wave absorption for the October–March period. |
