Abstract: | Long term soil creep motion is often represented as a type of laminar flow, with velocity vectors parallel to the slope and constant in time. Records on a hillslope in Southern Rwanda reveal that creep movements there compare more with turbulent flow, characterized by a A1 humic horizon superlayer, creeping over a subsoil affected by more irregular creep deformation. |
