Abstract: | In June 1999, United States Space Command took formal steps to set up a support center for military and government Global
Positioning System (GPS) users worldwide. The center was created to meet three main objectives:
· Detect, analyze, report, and facilitate the resolution of GPS anomalies
· Monitor and report GPS performance
· Provide GPS status, constellation status, and tactical support
This article is intended to provide a brief overview of the GPS Support Center (GSC), outlining its creation and products
and services, and providing a more detailed discussion of its objectives. ? 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. |
