Abstract:A new local existence and uniqueness theorem is obtained for the scalar geodetic boundary-value problem in spherical coordinates. The regularities H α and H 1+α are assumed for the boundary data g (gravity) and v (gravitational potential) respectively. Received: 27 July 1998 / Accepted: 19 April 1999
