摘    要:棕囊藻(Phaeocystis)是全球海洋广泛分布的有害藻华原因种,也是海洋初级生产力的重要贡献者,在极地和近海地区的碳、硫元素的生物地球化学循环、食物网结构及全球气候变化中都具有极其重要的作用。由于个体微小,形态特征观察困难,在常规观察中很容易被忽略。同时多数棕囊藻具有复杂的异型生活史,具有多种不同细胞形态,因此其传统分类与鉴定一直存在较多分歧。截至目前已描述的棕囊藻有10种,而确定具有电子显微镜和/或DNA分子数据支持的只有7个种,而且随着新的观测技术与研究方法的应用,更多的棕囊藻种类被发现。近年来中国沿海棕囊藻藻华肆虐,但有关棕囊藻形态及分类的研究却较少,目前一直报道的仅“球形棕囊藻”1种。因此本文对全球范围内棕囊藻属的种类多样性及地理分布特征等研究进展进行梳理与总结,以期为后续厘清中国沿海棕囊藻的种类及遗传多样性现状提供一些基础资料。

Abstract:Marine genus Phaeocystis Lagerheim belongs to the Haptophyceae and distributes worldwide. They are recognized as nuisance microalgae as some species that can form monospecific dense blooms in global marine waters. They are also important productivity producers in marine ecosystem and play a vital role in the global carbon and sulfur biogeochemical cycles, marine food-webs and the climate changes in the polar and coastal regions. Due to its small size and heteromorphic life cycle with both colonial and flagellated cells, the taxonomy of this genus suffers from a sketchy knowledge for a long time. Up to now, totally 10 species have been described and 7 of them have been examined using electron microscopy and/or DNA sequence analysis. In recent years, with the application of new high-resolution methods, new species and/or more geographic distribution of Phaeocystis species are observed. Therefore, in this review we summarize the species and geographical distribution record available to date and hope to provide some insight for future study on species diversity of this cosmopolitan genus Phaeocystis, in particular along the coast of China.
