| Abstract: | The data obtained during the Black Sea interdepartmental expedition of 1984 are analysed. Deep-sea anticyclonic eddies are shown to be long-lived dynamic formations which transport thousands of cubic metres of water in the sea and produce a determinant influence on the structure and variability of oceanologic fields in the summer hydrological season.Translated by M.
