Abstract:The rotational stiffness of rubber bearings(RB) and lead rubber bearings(LRB) is researched firstly. The vertical compression and shear deformation dependence for mechanic characteristics of RB and LRB are provided too in the paper In our research, we complete the test in order to understand the mechanic characteristics of both RB and LRB with fixed or unfixed rotation in fivedifferent cases It is possible to use the column top isolation system (CTIS) on existing building or new building according to the test results, which show that both RB and LRB have stable properties when shear deformation is more than 30%
