摘    要:前寒武纪占了地球地质历史的八分之七,其地层中有机质的研究,是一个十分重要的领域。它主要包括两个方面的意义:一方面在于追踪地球早期历史的生物演化,企图为了解地球上生命起源和早期生命的特点提供信息;另外在于对前寒武纪、特别是晚前寒武纪地层中石油的兴趣。六十年代,G. Eglinton和M. Calvin提出了“化学化石”的概念。“化学化石”也叫做分子化石或“地球化学化石”。

Abstract:The Xiamaling shale in Xiajiagou, Zhuolu county, Hebei Province, belongs to Sinian period. Its age has not been dated, the comparable formation in Jixian county, Hebei Province, is about 900-1050 m.y. old. The Xiamaling shale at Xiajiagou, being black or gray, is rich in organic matters. For example, a sample(No. 83002)studied in this paper has organic carbon content of 1.77%, and another one reported elsewhere above 5%. Two samples, No. 8209 and No. 83002, from the Xiamaling shale, Xiajiagou were taken for our geo-chemical study. Using methanol/toluene solvent extraction, 4.9 mg/g. rock and 2.2 mg/g. rock of extractable organic matter were obtained from No. 8209 and No. 83002, respectively. The total hydrocarbon and subseqently aromatic and saturated hydrocabon were isolated with TLC. The aromatic fraction is much lower than saturated hydrocarbon fraction. According to the analytical results of capillary collumn GC, the composition of the saturated hydrocarbon of the shale samples is very similar and seems mature. Though the carbon number of normal alkane is extended to n-C33, n-C13-n-C17, alkanes are major components. There is no predominance of odd over even carbon number in medium or high molecular weight range of normal alkane. Branch/cyclic alkanes exists, however, isoprenoid alkanes, for example, pr and pr are much lower in content relative to normal alkane. In high molecular weight range of normal alkane, there is a low hump that would be due to polycyclic na-phthene. Noteworthy is that the distribution feature of saturated hydrocarbon of the Xiamaling shale is similar to the shale from the Bitter Spring Formation, Amadeus Basin Northern Australia, the latter has a geological age of about 0.8 Gyr. Probably, the similarity shows that they have similar type of organic matter and have experinced similar diagenetic and cata-genetic history. The Bitter Spring Formation of late-Precambrian age was supposed still to lie within the "oil window". That means though the saturated hydrocarbon of the Siamaling shale is mature, probably not post-mature.Some of functional group features were revealed by i.r. analysis of total extracts. No. 83002 includes a strong absorption peak at 1705 cm-1 which probably is due to C = O group in addition to aliphatic C-H bands(2920, 2850, 1455, 1375 cm-1). In contrast to No. 83002, No. 8209 besides the aliphatic C-H absorption has a broad strong absorption band(from 3000 to 3700 cm-1)which probably is from the group of alcohols. The great difficulty we face is the same as anyone does in the study of organic matter of Precambrian rocks. We cannot estimate how serious the extent of contamination of the Xiamaling shale would be in the whole geological history. Therefore both the organic matter itself and its syngeneity with the shale are worthy to continue to study elaborately.
