| Abstract: | Current situation of wetlands resources in Xinjiang and problems existing in wetland planning and development were investigated by comparative analysis of wetlands in North Xinjiang. Through the investigation, characteristics of Manasi wetland scenic area in terms of type, location and landscape layout were analyzed, indicating unique regional particularity, ecological importance and representativeness of the wetlands. Problems existing in the development of the riverine and reservoir types of wetlands were identified, and suggestions for ecological planning of the wetlands were proposed. In the case of the Manasi Wetland, the roles of wetlands in improving environment, ecological protection and economic inheritance were highlighted. |
