Abstract: | This experiment on the effects of fishes (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco, Channa argus, Cyprinus carpio) on growth and survival of juvenile Chinese mitten crab,Eriocheir sinensis was conducted in cages placed in Bao'an Lake. T-tests showed that effects of fishes on the carapace width growth were not
significant as compared with the control (no fish). But the effects of these fishes on crab survival were negative. The causes
of negative effects of fishes on crab survival were simply discussed on the basis of food habits.
