| Abstract: | Three types of ductile shear systems have been recognized in the core of the Eastern Qinling orogenic belt,i.e. the Proterozoic near horizontal type, Junmahe-Matiwan overthrust type and strike-slip type. The geometry, kinematics,dynamics, petrography, microstructure, deformation conditions and the deformational history of ductile shear systems have been studied. It is suggesed that the ductile shear systems represent the tectonic softening or strain localized zones on different scales in the formation and evolution stages of the Oinling core complex. |
